Do you have a great idea for your club or initiative, but financing is proving challenging? In the "Funding Workshop for Volunteers" offered by the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering , you'll learn how to find suitable funding opportunities and write compelling applications.

Participation is free of charge. The workshop takes place on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Places are limited to a maximum of 30 participants; meals are included.

That's why the funding workshop is worthwhile

In the funding workshop, you'll spend a day working on your own project ideas together with around 30 dedicated individuals from non-profit organizations in your region. Experienced funding experts will guide you step by step.

You will learn practical skills such as finding funding, writing convincing grant applications, and clearly presenting your project ideas. At the same time, you will develop concrete building blocks for your own project.

You will learn how to structure and formulate effective grant applications and how to research suitable funding opportunities. You will work directly on your own idea, developing components such as a short description, objectives and measures, as well as a budget and financing plan.

Throughout the day, you will receive direct feedback. Experts will be on hand to guide you, answer your questions, and provide helpful practical tips.

Who is the workshop intended for?

This offer is primarily aimed at non-profit organizations that rely mainly on volunteers and have little experience in securing funding. The workshop is particularly suitable for associations and initiatives that already have a concrete project idea.
