A country between anger and reality. Wutbürger.exe is a report about people who have turned away from society – and about someone who tries to understand them. Hannes Kreschel travels across Germany: from villages in eastern Germany to small towns in western Germany, into living rooms full of mistrust and onto demonstrations full of anger.

He speaks with Reichsbürger, Querdenker, AfD voters and those who are simply angry. In doing so, he searches for answers to a question that has accompanied him for years: Why are more and more people becoming radicalized – and what does this mean for us as a society?

A book about alienation and fear, about the longing for stability – and about the question of whether we can still save dialogue before it is finally lost.
